Yo Yo Honey Singh sings about ‘daaru’ again (but with a twist) in Jackky Bhagnani’s Mitron

It is a known fact that Yo Yo Honey Singh has made a career out of creating several chartbuster party numbers. Moreover, most of these has ‘daaru’ as its focal element. However when it came to creating a party number for upcoming release Mitron, he decided to do something different. He came up with a track that is actually ‘anti-booze’ and talks about the perils of alcohol.

“No wonder, the song is titled ‘This Party Is Over Now’,” says a senior crew member with a chuckle, “Time and again Yo Yo has instructed youth to get going with the party. Even Jackky’s biggest chartbuster till date is ‘Chaar Baj Gaye Lekin Party Abhi Baaki Hai’ [F.A.L.T.U.]. However this time around, they wanted to bring in something new to the audience, and that’s what led to the newest chartbuster in town.”

This is pretty much conveyed in the lyrics that go as – “Nasha utaarne ke mere paas saare bhed hain, Party ho gayi over asuvidha ke liye khed hai; Jinko chadh gayi zyaada unpe 500 ka jurmana, Anti-Alcoholic yeh hai Yo Yo ka naya gaana.”

One can well understand the reason why the composer/lyricist/singer came up with this song.

“It is a known fact that Yo Yo was facing some health issues and hence took a break to recuperate. This could well have led to some introspection as well. Though it would be interesting to know if he has gone completely sober now in real life too, but at least on reel he is definitely propagating the message of going sober,” our source adds.

This can well be seen from further lyrics that go as – “Mitron.. bekar ke shauq na paalo, daaru pe nazrein na daalo; youth ko samjha lo, jaljeere se kaam chala lo”.

While the messaging is certainly noble, what is certainly there to be seen is the fact that the tune is definitely catchy and the rendition impeccable. Moreover with Jackky in his complete elements along with his leading lady Kritika Kamra, ‘This Party Is Over Now’ has a vibrant feel to it and actually makes you hit the dance floors, courtesy its overall glitzy appeal.

One now waits to see how the song is placed in this Vikram Malhotra produced film once it releases all over on September 14.
