Salman Khan reveals why Dus Ka Dum did not strike a chord with the audience

Salman Khan returned to the TV screens with Dus Ka Dum nine years later since it last ended. Bhai fans were super stoked about the return of the show but did not strike a chord this time. The show was scheduled for Monday – Tuesday slot with no celebrity appearances. Few episodes later, the show underwent a makeover and was shifted to the weekends with only celebrity guests as the contestants. With that being said, the finale will be taking place this coming weekend.

When Salman Khan was quizzed about Dus Ka Dum and what went wrong this time, he shared his views on the same. He said that nobody was aware of the show when began airing on a Monday and Tuesday. That is where they thought they went wrong as people weren’t aware of the slot. They had thought at the start of the week, the audience can enjoy the show as people have plans on weekends. But, that did not work in the favour of the show.

Talking about how his brother in law Atul Agnihotri’s mother wasn’t aware that the show had begun, he revealed that she had asked him when is the show starting when it was already in its fourth week. He further added that the makers of Dus Ka Dum understood something was amiss in the second or third week. But, they knew to shift to the weekends was a risk but they took the chance. Then, they finally got promotions this time and even Salman created awareness about it.

Salman Khan also said that he would not mind hosting the next season. The grand finale of Dus Ka Dum will air on September 8 with Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji as the guests.
