Up and about promoting her upcoming flick, Sui Dhaaga – Made In India and sharing screen space with Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma has been on a style spree. She has been doling out one stunning promotional look after another in tandem with her go-to fashion stylist, Allia Al Rufai. While her on-screen role of Mamta, an embroiderer from Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh is rustic and simple, her off-screen style has been a melange of chic styles. All along, Anushka Sharma’s sense of style comes across as extremely relevant, contemporary and non-fussy. A promotional round of Sui Dhaaga – Made In India saw Anushka Sharma attend the Priyadarshini Academy Global Awards and pull of a classic look – a green Benarasi clad saree look that instantly reminded us of her wedding reception in Delhi last year.
A self-confessed recluse, Anushka rarely makes those glaring appearances, unlike her contemporaries. But she does regale the fashion pundits and her fans alike whenever she steps out. Anushka s traditional #OOTD totally bowled us over and we are tempted to emulate her look!
Anushka Sharma – Saree Chic
Anushka wore a local artisan weaved green coloured Benarasi saree. The saree featured a rich and broad zari border with gold buttis all over.
A choker, delicate studs and some kadas were the perfect accessories of choice. A chic centre-parted pulled back hairdo, a bindi, kohl-rimmed eyes and pink lips rounded out her look.
This look is indeed a replica of Anushka’s wedding reception look from Delhi.
Anushka had chosen feted fashion designer, Sabyasachi’s lavish red and gold Benarasi saree with jewellery, a chic hairdo and flawless makeup.
